Spring is here

The island doesn’t have huge changes throughout the seasons.  We have a couple of weeks of cold weather during the winter, but other than that it’s generally beautiful.  Queenslanders have a saying about their climate.  “Beautiful one day, perfect the next”, and that’s about right for the island.  Spring is here and the bees are a little more active than normal.
It always surprises me how productive a small garden can be.  This is one tomato plant that just pumps out sweet juicy fruit.  There are literally hundreds of tomatoes coming off this plant.

I’m the only person who eats them so I’m well provided for, but I will be planting more of this variety in the coming weeks so that I can have a surplus to give away.
