About a year ago I bought a little cultivator for the garden beds.
It is basically a brush cutter engine connected to a small gearbox and while it did an admirable job, it really wasn’t powerful enough for the task it was required to do.
Today I picked up a much larger cultivator. It’s a 6.5hp engine which drives the wheels and the rotors. It is second hand but has had very limited and light use. I got it home, cleaned it up and gave it an oil change. For $350 it was a bargain.
I’m a big fan of using lanolin based products to protect against corrosion and generally maintaining any metal and machinery. Lanotec is an Australian made product and I used it for years on the boat. After all, good maintenance makes your equipment last longer and that’s part of living a sustainable lifestyle.
I’m looking forward to using the new cultivator in the coming weeks.
